17-7PH Nickel Coated Spring Wire ASTM A313, AMS 5678 - (29)
Type 17 chrome - 7 nickel stainless steel wire (AISI 631) has the corrosion resistance of Type 302 plus superior strength and heat resistance. This grade of stainless wire possesses high elastic qualities similar to music wire while maintaining the corrosion resistant qualities of the standard Type 302 stainless. The alloy is an excellent material for all kinds of springs where long life is required under severe service conditions, providing excellent fatigue properties. Learn More
17-7Ph Stainless Spring Wire - (100)
Type 17 chrome - 7 nickel stainless steel wire (AISI 631) has the corrosion resistance of Type 302 plus superior strength and heat resistance. This grade of stainless wire possesses high elastic qualities similar to music wire while maintaining the corrosion resistant qualities of the standard Type 302 stainless. Type 302 Stainless Steel Wire - (138)
Type 302 stainless steel wire is a general purpose stainless alloy typically composed of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It is the most widely used stainless spring wire because of its high corrosion resistance properties and good tensile strength. For spring applications it is generally furnished in the cold drawn condition. Type 302 springs have good strength at moderate temperatures. Learn More
Type 302 Stainless Steel Wire - Nickel Coated - (52)
Type 302 stainless steel wire is a general purpose stainless alloy typically composed of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. The balance of the chemistry is: carbon 15% maximum, manganese 2.00% maximum: and silicon 1.00% maximum. It is the most widely used stainless spring wire because of its high corrosion resistance properties and good tensile strength. For spring applications it is generally furnished in the cold drawn condition. Learn More
Type 304 Stainless Steel Wire - (138)
Type 304 stainless steel wire is a general purpose stainless alloy typically composed of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It is the most widely used stainless spring wire because of its high corrosion resistance properties and good tensile strength. For spring applications it is generally furnished in the cold drawn condition. Type 304 springs have good strength at moderate temperatures. Learn More
Type 304 Stainless Steel Wire - Nickel Coated - (39)
Type 304 stainless steel wire is a general purpose stainless alloy typically composed of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. The balance of the chemistry is: carbon 15% maximum, manganese 2.00% maximum: and silicon 1.00% maximum. 304VM
Medical Wire from InterWire in 304VM, 316 and 316LVM is ASTM A313 standard specification for stainless steel spring wire. Learn More
Type 316/316L Stainless Steel Wire - (79)
Similar in composition to Type 302, Type 316 stainless steel wire has a slightly higher nickel content and 2-2.50% molybdenum giving this alloy better corrosion resistance. Type 316's tensile strength is 10-15% lower than that of Type 302, and the alloy is slightly less magnetic in the spring temper than Type 302. With its superior cold working properties, it can be used for severe cold forming operations and exhibits short time tensile and creep strength properties at elevated temperatures. Gibbs Interwire Type 316 stainless steel wire is coated for coiling and is available in the range 0.015" - 0.625" conforming to ASTM A 313. Nickel coated available on application in size range 0.007" to 0.130" Learn More
316LVM
Medical Wire from InterWire in 304VM, 316 and 316LVM is ASTM A313 standard specification for stainless steel spring wire. Learn More
Annealed and Off Temper (non Spring)
ASTM A313 & ASTM A580 Various grades of 300 and 400 series stainless may be supplied in a fully annealed state. They can also be supplied in 1/8 hard, 1/4 hard and 1/2 hard as per the customer requirement. Or the customer can request a specific tensile range and if possible the wire can be produced to that range based upon the production capabilities of the supplier of the steel. Learn More
CHQ
Can be supplied in various grades of stainless steel wire. This is a specialized type of wire that is used mainly for screws, rivets and nuts, also referred to as fasteners. Clean surface characteristics of the steel are important. Cold Heading stainless can be supplied as a wire and can also be supplied in rod format where the customer will be performing light drawing prior to heading the parts. Can be supplied in an annealed as well as cold drawn condition. Learn More
EPQ
ASTM A313 & ASTM A580 Electro-Polish Quality, EPQ wire has a brilliant mirror bright like surface resulting in a radiant appearance when electro-polished after forming. Often used when the part is visible on the item where it is being used and eye appeal is of importance to the end customer. Learn More
