This is a medium-high carbon, cold drawn spring wire for the production of commercial quality mechanical springs. HDMB is drawn to finish size and then hardened by heat treat or tempering process. Tempering straightens wire and also improves operating temperatures. Use of higher carbon content allows higher tensile strength when compared to class 1
