Re: Update on integration items for Gibbs Interwire.
We want to thank all of you for the support you have shown us as we combine two great companies: Interwire and Gibbs. We are very excited by the new company we have created.
A number of you have asked great questions regarding the new company. For example:
How should I enter my new Purchase Orders?
We are very appreciative that many of our customers list vendor accounts with Interwire and Gibbs. We understand that this gives you purchase order history with both entities.
Our new tradename is Gibbs Interwire. The legal name of the company in the USA is Gibbs Wire & Steel Company LLC.
We have no problem with honoring purchase orders that are made out to Interwire, Gibbs, or Gibbs Interwire. However, many customers have found that it is better for them to rename our vendor accounts as Gibbs Interwire or to use our legal name Gibbs Wire & Steel Company LLC. They have suggested this makes it better for their documentation and quality control.
In addition, you will see shortly that all our documents will be changed to reflect our new tradename, Gibbs Interwire. This will include acknowledgments, certifications, invoices, and packing slips.
In the coming months we will be moving to a single IT platform. This will help to conform the order numbers in a unified way.
Who do I pay?
We will be asking all customers to make their checks out to either Gibbs Interwire or Gibbs Wire & Steel Company LLC. The remit to address will be the existing Gibbs lockbox:

This will include remittance that relate solely to Interwire. However, if doing this causes a problem in your bookkeeping, we can continue to accept checks made out to Interwire at the Armonk, New York address.
