201 Stainless Steel Strip Coil and Slit Coil
Originally developed as a result of resource allocation during World War II, Austenitic Stainless Steel Type 201( ASTM-A-666/UNS S20100), contains a lower Nickel content (4.5% vs 8.1%) and higher Manganese content (7.1% vs 1%) than Types 301 and 304. T201 addresses the continued volatility of Nickel prices while offering comparable corrosion resistance and formability to T301 and T304 and has become a viable lower cost alternative to these austenitic grades. Gibbs Interwire stocks T201 in the annealed condition in thicknesses .008-.026”.
